BANISH:MANAGES A VARIETY OF POWDERY & DOWNY MILDEW PATHOGENS
As a fungicide, BANISH uses plant extract derived from natural geranium oil. Spore germination at the plant surface initiates the growth cycles of mildew. Mildew germ tubes dock at the surface, develop, and feed on nutrients from plant cells. By preventing spore germination, stopping germ tube growth, and eliminating the pathogen cell, the dual preventive and healing action operates.
Geraniol prevents mildewspore germination and mycelium growth by causing an imbalance of potassium (K+) ions within the mycelium. Once inside the pathogen cell, it causes "cell death" or cell lyses."
For every gallon of water, dilute 4.0 mL of BANISH. The regions affected by powdery or downy mildew as well as the mildew outbreak should be foliar treated with BANISH. Lift grow lamps to lessen the risk of burning, and avoid using them directly in bright light. If applying outside, wait until after sunset or early in the morning. Apply twice to four times, 5-7 days apart, to affected regions. Every 14 days, apply BANISH to stop mildew breakouts.
