These salts typically burn off during an approximate 100-hour seasoning/break-in period. Minor lamp pulsation is normal until fully seasoned; optimal performance is achieved post-seasoning. Double-ended metal halide lamps are not intended for continuous 24-hour operation to maximize lamp lifespan.
